We’re excited to announce that our residency is underway with artists Imaan Sattar and Yuxiu Xiong!
Imaan Sattar (b. 1996) and Yuxiu Xiong (b. 1996) are an artist duo from Pakistan and China, studying at Städelschule, Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
For them, collaboration is the site of the emergence of a third mind — a shared field of sensing and improvising that exceeds individual authorship.
Their material-driven process moves through the intensity of existing when systems are falling apart, and dimensions are bending, and the freedom that comes with it. Their work sits between the growing fragmentation of contemporary life and the infrastructures that sustain it — systems that run heavily on material resources yet remain bodiless — asking how the body finds its own scale among forces too large to grasp.
