Tbilisi Air is a non-profit initiative and does not provide direct financial support or grants. Residents are responsible for their own travel and living costs, as well as a residency fee that covers operational expenses. Fees are calculated according to the duration of the stay (1–3 months). Project-specific materials, production costs, and other additional expenses are not included and should be covered by the residents.
The monthly residency fee is €1300 and covers operational costs, including:
- Studio and living space
- Utilities (electricity, water, heating, internet)
- Administrative support (website maintenance, communication, announcements, social media)
- Translation and text editing
- Public event organization and basic hospitality
- Part-time assistant support
Residents can be supported to seek external grants, scholarships, or sponsorships to cover their participation.
We can assist with:
- Invitation letters and documentation for external funding applications
- Practical information about the residency and local context
- For English and Dutch speakers: guidance and feedback on writing funding applications or residency proposals
