Costs

Tbilisi AiR is a non-profit initiative and does not provide direct financial support or grants. Residents are responsible for their own travel and living costs, as well as a residency fee that covers operational expenses. Fees are calculated according to the duration of the stay (1–3 months). Project-specific materials, production costs, and other additional expenses are not included and should be covered by the residents.

Residency fee: € 1300

The residency fee covers operational costs, including:

  • Studio and living space
  • Utilities (electricity, water, heating, internet)
  • Administrative support (website maintenance, communication, announcements, social media)
  • Translation and text editing
  • Public event organization and basic hospitality
  • Part-time assistant support

While Tbilisi AiR does not offer direct funding, the residency team can assist with:

  • Invitation letters and documentation for external funding applications
  • Practical information about the residency and local context
  • For English and Dutch speakers: guidance and feedback on writing funding applications or residency proposals

Residents are encouraged and supported to seek external grants, scholarships, or sponsorship to cover their participation
